What Happens When Your Trip Goes Wrong: Dealing With Accidents in the Wilderness

  • Queen Anne Community Center 1901 1st Avenue West Seattle, WA, 98119 United States (map)

Join She Rocks and She Jumps for our first safety workshop!

Volunteers from Seattle Mountain Rescue, Tacoma Mountain Rescue and Everett Mountain Rescue will be presenting an evening of lecture and discussion. This evening is geared towards climbers ranging from sport cragging to alpine adventure- and what happens when that adventure takes a wrong turn.

The session will cater to individuals who do not necessarily have wilderness medicine training and are relatively new to outdoor climbing. Night includes introduction and hands on demo followed by facilitated small group discussions of 3 real accidents and what happened.

TIckets are $5 and can be reserved on our Event Brite page dealingwithaccidents.eventbrite.com

All proceeds to benefit Mountain Rescue teams that have helped us put this together. This event is open to the public, regardless of gender. We include women, but we don't exclude men. Getting home safe is important for all of us.
